A Dog's Dinner

Gold of the Woods

A smashing day today, with lovely warm weather, which we spent out in the woods hunting chanterelle - and what a harvest we found. It has been the most bountiful day we've ever had.

Not only did we find about 2 kilos of chanterelle but a a beautiful porcinii!

So tonight we're having chanterelle with cream and saffron with enough left over cooked and frozen to keep us in classy meals for a month or two.

Why does no one else collect these beautiful things when they cost around £30.00 a kilo?

Bliss!

Big woods are good!
