The Angus Inn

Blipped this wall mural made up of a variety of shells taken from the nearby Breaker Bay - the native New Zealand paua shell is predominant. Went for a walk along Karaka Road in Wellington in the sun followed by lunch at the legendary Chocolate Fish Cafe soon to close down after 10 years. It was a big favourite of the Lord of The Rings cast when they were based in wellington during the bulk of their 2 years filming in NZ.

Then got my first pass since Ailsa was born and went to the centenary rugby league test celebrating 100 years of matches between New Zealand and Australia. The Kiwis were far too hospitable to their guests from across the ditch and kindly had a player sent off early on and lost 58-0! And half of the Aussie team were making their international debuts......ooops. I got sunburned too....ooops.

However, Scotland continue their meteoric rise in the football world so who cares about the Kiwi rugby league team or the All Blacks - please don't come unstuck against Georgia or Italy, boys! I just couldn't take the heart break again!
