Friday 13 August 2010: Jupiter and the Galilean moons

Out gazing at the sky again, catching the odd glimpse of a Perseid meteor. Used all of my little camera's optical and digital zoom to catch this image of Jupiter and the three closest most massive moons (except the suffering Io, too close to see). Even at 2 seconds, there's enough movement from the rotation of our planet to blur the dots into streaks.

Anyway, I is now an astrophotographer. Official.
