Friday 13 August 2010: Stardrops and Raindrops
It was a day of two halves today.
I'd taken it as leave to go get some meteor photos last night
I headed out at 11 trying to fight off the clouds, expecting to be home again disappointed 30 min later
Instead, I'm not sure what time I got in, determination turned it into a waiting game
a game the paid off in the end.
however 8am rolled around and I was awake despite the late bed time
So from there it was up and out into the garden.
A full day laying grass in the rain
It's been a long time since I last had an excuse to be outside in heavy rain soaked to the skin but not caring.
I used to do it on my mountain bike while growing up
it's a feeling I love, out in nature without a care in the world
All in all, a successful day on both accounts
A very satisfying way to use a days leave.
