Monday 16 August 2010: Babbling

Layla's first day back at work today, so it's back to Belladay for me (although this is the penultimate one as she's starting kindergarten in two weeks).

Up at the crack of 9.30 (thank you, Lord), then up town for another festival-filled day. We booked ourselves in for Alice In Wonderland (which I'd give about 4 out of 10 for the Legs-Akimbo cast but Bella would probably give 8 out of 10 for being totally bonkers), scoffed La Favorita pizza for lunch (in the Underbelly beer garden place which was full of slightly weary looking festival goers), then an extensive potter up and down the High Street with Bella perched on my shoulders.

Someone's mentioned this already, but I was a bit surprised at the number of several-hundred-millimetred monopodded cameras floating about. I think I'd rather stick my 7mm of love in a performer's face and get a bit of interaction going.

These guys actually looked quite good - the mere sight of them were making me laugh, which is probably a good sign (I like my humour quite, um, unsophisticated). Anyone seen them?
