A great day in London Village yesterday - as usual I suffered from premature-blipalation early on in the day, missing out on picking one of my half-to-three-quarters baked efforts later on in the day. Oh well. Have a look here if you want to catch up.

Started the afternoon with a walk around the Canary Wharf area - all very corporate and commercial but did feel very different to 'normal' London, and for that it was worth visiting. Had a tapas lunch and then took the Docklands Light Railway to Bank station - great fun standing at the front of a driverless train!

Walked along the Thames, over the wobbly bridge and into the Tate Modern to see 'the crack' - the latest installation there. It was, well, a crack in some concrete! Sun was setting beautifully over London turning the skyline orange - great for pics. Dinner at Wagamama and headed to the Queen Elizabeth Hall for our Brett Anderson concert. Sign said it would be delayed until 8.30pm so we had an hour kill, letting Mrs DP treat me to the London Eye at night as she had done it before but without me. Excellent.

Settled in our row F seats for the show and had a great view. A superb performance by the ex-Suede frontman, with a string ensemble (cunningly titled Dirty Pretty Strings) interpreting new and old songs. It all worked brilliantly and the acoustics were incredible. Collected our CD of the show 10 minutes after it finished (a company called Concert Live provided it - what a great idea) which I'm now listening to. Bliss.

Now having a lazy Sunday. Had intended to go out but too tired. Hence the blip in the garden - Mrs DP drying towels. Hope everybody is having a great Sunday :-)
