What a day!

My word today was just tremendous! It was a tough 10 hour day with almost 2,000 metres of ascent but my god it was so good! It was a day that you will occasionally have in the mountains when despite the height and effort involved you feel great, your lungs are working well and the legs glide across the ground. That was today and it felt brilliant. We were treated to fantastic views almost as soon as we climbed out of Murren and this was the theme for the rest of the day. Sunny skies with just the lightest breeze to cool things down when we got really high up.

We sang with delight and laughed and joked and stopped often to take photos - 198 of them! Back in Wengen now for cheese & ham pizza with pear gateaux. Ahhhh..... I'm loving Switzerland.
