First of all - thank you so much for the comments on my pics the last few weeks. I really appreciate it even if I do close my eyes and press the 'Publish' button with trepidation every single time. I know I should spend more time writing stuff properly, checking that it's spelled correctly... that my images are okay etc. But most times I just go 'click' with the camera, mess about in Photoshop for a couple of mins to rescue it if it's really bad... then slap it on here, write a load of waffle that emerges ill-formed from my noggin... and... that's it. So, when people actually like what I've done I'm always a bit 'No... really??! Wow!' about it all! Anyway - thank you!
Sooooo... yes, another quick shot today. Really trying to get to grips with the Lensbaby and macro lens - but getting it sharply focussed is evading me at the moment. This was taken while I was having a break from marking (have got a batch of student assignments to mark and I wanted to get them out of the way before my birthday - tomorrow *gulp*) and the sunshine reappeared, beckoning me outdoors. Isn't it typical how it's always sunny when I need to be indoors? Humph!
I also did a bit of blackberry picking with Felix in our 'secret garden', but he got kinda distracted by chopping back the undergrowth and shouting 'got you, you naughty nettle!!' as loudly as he could manage, leaving me picking on my own. When I eventually finished picking some blackberries, he decided he'd had enough of hacking at brambles etc... saw the pot of blackberries and went 'I'm hungry, I'm just going to' *stuff* 'have a few' *chomp* 'delicious blackberries' *smear*. And by the time I'd untangled myself from the blackberry bushes he'd eaten the bloomin' lot! Handful by sticky boy-shaped handful.
Right. Back to marking. I WILL try my hardest to get this done. I want my birthday and last week of holiday to be guilt free!
PS Those were clearly famous last words and I doubt I'll get it finished
