Monday 23 August 2010: baby Least Bittern

I was able to leave work earlier than usual, which may be why I was lucky enough to spot 3 baby Least Bitterns today. They are still in the same large clump of tall reeds that we saw the parents nesting in earlier this summer. This wasn't this one's most becoming pose, but was the reaction to the parent returning with food.
