Wedge tomb, Peakeen Ridge

Well, I'm still getting over all the excitement of the red balloon. Thank you so much for everyone who took a peek or left a comment, very much appreciated. And now I have a little silver camera :)
We're enjoying fabulous weather here at the moment - bright, warm and breezy. We abandoned everything and headed off off to the hills. We walked along Peakeen ridge - a strip of mountain that joins two mountains together, and gives the most amazing view son each side of the Peninsula. Wherever you looked was just stunning. The heather and gorse is now out, the skies were enormous and the sea so blue. This photo was taken at a mini- summit where there is a fairly dilapidated wedge tomb - the heap of stones on the left - but whoever demanded to be buried here knew what they were doing - the views are sublime.
We lunched outside at the Post Office (last day of opening for meals) - a great view point for all the comings and goings of the village.
We have friends coming for a relaxed supper tonight so I must go and prepare something - currently looking like pasta bake with chard, followed by blackberry crumble.
