Llyn Celyn, North Wales

Another view of Llyn Celyn, following the previous blip on 10 April 2010. A breeze mean that there was no mirror like surface, however the low summer morning sun over the dam caught my eye.

A man-made reservoir, Llyn Celyn was constructed between 1960 and 1965 in the valley of the River Tryweryn to provide water for Liverpool. It involved flooding the village of Capel Celyn.
