Tuesday 23 October 2007: Magic morning
Nevis gets so (over)excited by frost. I think he may have a smidgen of husky blood in him somewhere.
Both the boys took off across this field after a hare. It would have made a superb photo had I
a) not been using a compact with not enough zoom and too
much
shutter
delay
b) not been too busy trying to call them off.
I don't think Nevis would know what to do a hare if he caught one. There is just something primeval in a dog's mind that says "if it runs, chase it".
Nevis managed to keep pace with it for while (Ollie retired gracefully early on) but the hare had a good start and was never in danger of being caught.
