The National Monument

Also known as Edinburgh's disgrace this is an unfinished monument to the glories of the Napolionic wars. It has a commanding position on the summit of Calton Hill. The most popular views are towards Princes Street and the Castle but it is also the place get a magnificent panorama of the Firth of Forth and Fife.
