Continuing the cake theme for the third day. This is not a technically brilliant photo, but it records the moment when Rene cut her birthday cake. We had a lovely afternoon with about 25 friends who came for tea and cake. Rene made most of the cakes too, although I bought the birthday cake itself.

This morning I "broke eggs with sticks", (my nana's expression), as I cleaned the house, did some gardening, swept the patio, cleaned paintwork, prepared for the tea and edited the Golden Wedding photos. I am SHATTERED now, but it was worthwhile. Now Mum is in her 90th year and we are starting to talk about next year's big celebration.
