Kerrera Island

This ferry shuttles back and forward between Oban and Kerrera Island.

If you ever decide to run away, to stuff it all and run away, I would recommend Kerrera. Green and peaceful and beautiful.

Kerrera bunkhouse is small and basic, water off the hill and an outside loo, but it has everything you need. Is within ten minutes of a real live castle (a bit derelict, but a castle). Five minutes of a small private beach. And there is a tea room right on your doorstep.....

This weekend has probably added a good couple of weeks to my life span.
