Hosni lives in Maadi, has five children, and doesn't speak a word of English. He's a pretty careful driver, and stuck to 70kmph the whole journey. I did ask how many years he's been driving, but I couldn't make out the answer.

For the first time since I started this journal, the driver did a little play acting to suggest 40LE was a bit low. "Ana batfa khamsa wi talateen koolay murrah!" I cried, after which I was rewarded with a hearty laugh, a handshake, and of course a photo.
