Black Tern

This is a juvenile Black Tern that I took in some late afternoon sunlight - a rare thing I think soon to be.

It's not the most exciting photograph, and certainly not the most exciting blip, but I did want an excuse to test the new camera before heading out to the birdwatching equivalent of Helmand Province on Sunday - I'm afraid that there will be a week of blips from Birdlife Malta's Raptor Camp as I will be out there as a volunteer.
