Saturday 18 September 2010: Sharon Temple National Historic Site and Museum

The Sharon Temple was built in 1832 and is a unique structure that was home to a Quaker sect. Abandoned long ago, the site was preserved and conserved and this year got a grant from the Federal Government of Canada to shore up the foundation and add a basement and heating system. The Temple is used for many events including the Words Alive Literary Festival which is in its 4th year. I helped organize this year's event and last year's. We had many wonderful guests lined up with Nino Ricci as the headliner.
