Under a Carpark...

My mate used to own a shop in Dunfermline and the most convenient place to park was Chalmers Street carpark. Every time I was there, I'd notice the St Margaret's Cave entrance just at the edge of it. It's just a wee unassuming hut sized building.

After seeing some south of the riverers having been before me even though I live not 10 minutes from, I resolved to actually go in. We were in Dunfermline so we decided to have a look.

When you go in the entrance, you go down a wee set of stairs and then down this tunnel of about 80 odd steps and 30 foot or so under the car park to a wee cave where St Margaret went to pray some 900 years ago. There's not much to it but it is pretty cool.
