Friday 24 September 2010: The Night Of The Red Swans

Made it up the hill at last, where we found these red swans paddling around under the moon. I thought they were the stuff of legend, but apparently not.

The lights were great, although I think I may have expired 6 x AAA batteries in an hour an a half. More on that later.

The BadBoyCam made it too, but my E-P1 nearly didn't. One of the criticisms I read before purchasing it was that the body wasn't very sturdy. It isn't - attaching it to the front of your bike and travelling at speed may slightly bend the base of the camera out of shape. Oops.

I did get some footage before it all turned to jelly though, which I may add a link to here if it ever outputs and uploads.

Edit - here's the film. (BTW, I would like to point out that bus next to the Parliament was turning right.) You'll also notice things get very wobbly towards the end as the base of the Pen started detaching itself...
