Doors Open Day - the Japanese House

How brave some people are to open their doors for people to tramp through all day!

This is an intriguing eco friendly house in Portobello built in a Japanese style clad with Scottish Oak - there is even a sunken table and tatami mats inside - all very simple.

Fascinating to have a glimpse of how the best use of space has been made. Regretfully the only property taking part in Doors Open Day we managed to visit this weekend.
