Road relay

Traditionally warm up to the cross county season starts with the North of England Young Athletes road relays. This years event was 40minutes down the road in Wythenshawe Park. 3 legs of 3.6K Cal was running the 2nd leg. The team got off to a reasonable start 28 out of 42. Cal managed a fast leg and pulled up 12 places to 16th and final leg runner kept their place pulling up to 15th in the last few metres. Not a bad result considering two runners are bottom of the age group. Cal ran the fastest leg of the Preston Harriers team.

Went for high tea of roast duck at one of our favourite eating houses and Mrs Wild spotted a house for sale she fancied.

No 2 son is on a weekend away on a mountain rescue exercise with the youth group and gone without his washing kit. The rescue dogs will have no probs finding him.
