Costco has become a major force in the US shopping experience. Costco offers great value by selling quality merchandise at low margin and high volume. They skim a small profit and let the customer buy at a low price. Regular shoppers know the inventory changes constantly, so if they see it and like it they know they should buy it because it will be gone tomorrow and never come back. Interesting marketing strategy on Costco's part. But they have staples, too, and for large families of small means it's an opportunity to buy in bulk quantities and realize significant savings.

Costco now has stores in Canada, Mexico, the UK and AU as well as Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
