Saturday 9 October 2010: Maple's last autumn?
This is a very old sugar maple on the east side of the Town Park where the Farmer's Market resides in Aurora during the summer and early fall. This tree looks great but has a lot of dead branches that never leafed. Lots of trees of its generation are going. Let's hope they are replaced with more sugar maples!
Yesterday's blip: Rainbow Piece, York University art installation by Hugh LeRoy, 1972.
Another photo of dried corn cobs from today at the market is here.
