A Thousand Words

Capitol Steps.

My parents are in town this weekend and they wanted to check out this national park off new york ave NE. We visited this place last semester, but this was the first time I saw this.

It has quite a bit of history behind it. Apparently it was the columns for the capitol building. It was put in place in 1850s right before Lincoln was inaugurated and had been removed in 1954 as a part of a larger expansion at the Capitol. It was in storage until 1984 when it was moved to the national park.

I recommend anyone to check this out. It is in fern valley!
