unnecessary but small

Whilst Nicky took her wee car away to let her parents trade it in for a newer car for them whilst she took over their existing car I got to stay at home an untangle her dad's internet, inoperative for a couple of weeks since he moved things around to try and install a wireless router. By removing three unnecessary microfilters the house is now back online, albeit only through means of wires as the new wireless modem/router appears to have been injured at some point in the installation process. He returned briefly shortly afterwards, read through a bit of new car instruction manual then disappeared again to go for a spin round the bypass to see whether or not he had a sixth forward gear before I had a chance to head out, meaning I had to stay in until he got back as I wasn't sure whether or not he'd taken all his keys if he was assuming I'd be in. Nicky had gone for an experimental drive with her mum to somewhere where there's some form of infant-clothing shop to see if they could find something for Edgar to wear for the wedding but returned empty-handed no more full-handed than we already are considering that he'll spend second half of the event being asleep and the initial half wriggling, making grippability and not showing dribble-marks more desirable qualities for his clothing than looking excessively twee.
