Flatiron Building, New York City

This blip treads brashly in the photosteps of giants (Steichen and Stieglitz, just to start with). Here's a link to a photo by Edward Steichen (1904). And Alfred Stieglitz portrayed it in 1903.

The Flatiron Building (completed in 1902) is at 23rd Street, at the intersection with both Fifth Avenue and Broadway. The latter meet at a narrow angle, which governed the foundation of the building, which narrows to a point on the north end.

We were in the area (mostly at Home Depot on 23rd Street) working out cabinets for our renovation on 97th Street (we're staying with a friend on 12th Street, where I had the luck to blip a marvelous sunset).
