Friday 22 October 2010: Anti rain bubble
It actually stopped raining for a few hours, so we swallowed our cynicism and paid Eilan Donan a visit. I knew it was a total Disneyland castle, completed around the same time Hitler invaded Poland, but wasn't prepared for how much of a pastiche it is of itself.
Very strange that someone would devote so much time and money to creating an elaborate imaginary historical world to then step into and inhabit as if it were real.
Cafe was nice though. And there was a crazy old lady at the ticket booth. And we saw a seal in Loch Duich from the grounds.
Then it started raining again.
