Adelaide is an interesting mixture of interesting older buildings with more than a fair share of ugly box structures. This is one, The Colonial Mutual Life Building, across the road from where I am staying is of the nicer ones. Some of the details are not picked up well in the photograph, but if you look carefully there are seven carved lions.
