Watch the birdie ...

Today I was working from home - as I set up by the window and a blue tit flew past it seemed the golden opportunity to return to some of the nice bird photos I took earlier in the year when working from my parents' home. But as I got my camera ready that was the only action I saw for several hours (though in my defence, the majority of that time was spent working and not staring out of the window, honestly).

And then, at lunchtime, I looked up at the fence at the back corner of the garden, and I think I've put my finger on a potential reason behind the shortage of birdies ...
