Backblip. Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway as it is properly known. Taken 3days off Youth hostelling in Eskdale West Cumbria. Ratty has to be one of the best visitor attractions in the Lakes. A seven mile narrow gauge line snakes up from the sea to the foot of England's highest mountain range. We paid for an all day ticket and just rode up and down in the open carriages taking in the scenery and relaxing.
