Friday 5 November 2010: Helping hand
I was so glad the rain stopped as cabin fever was setting in after being confined to domesticity yesterday. Just after 7 this morning the sun made an effort to rise - and briefly painted a scarlet streak across the sky. The pilot boat was going out to assist a large tanker into port and the lighthouse was still flashing warnings to the busy sea traffic.
It's Friday and the weekend - enjoy!
P.S. Most of the soda bread has disappeared - must be the leprechauns - and the Malteser cake has been spirited away to delight Son#1's colleagues. He came round to decorate it last night and my kitchen is covered in icing sugar, grated chocolate and sticky mess. Don't you just love it?
