Friday 5 November 2010: Fawkin' brilliant
Last night's news eventually arrived at 2.45 this afternoon.
It was good.
I've been awarded one of ten places on an intensive week-long course at MIT in January. I'm being flown over, housed, fed, and given a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from some of the most successful geeks in the known universe.
I've only told a few people so far, but word seems to have travelled fast - the city's alight with fireworks tonight.
Now, I think I might have a wee celebratory beer!
