Sunday 7 November 2010: The Guardian of the Park
This is one half of the Park Gates at Lytham where my children play football. It was designed by the children of Lytham and the wooden cogs represent the workings of Lytham's windmill, the pebbles represent the seashore and walls of the surrounding areas. The pebbles are imprinted with the children's own designs of their park. The poem carved into the feature was written by a local schoolgirl from St Bede's School,Lytham (which I started to write out in full and the computer timed me out-please ask and I will try again).
Edit: I have photographed the poem and it is now Monday 8th November blip.
