Sunday 7 November 2010: $5 Pints Whats to Complain About

The Austral is a well known bar on Rundle Street in Adelaide. It is where I had my first ever Coopers Pale Ale, brewed in Adelaide and South Australia famous. It is a cloudy beer and when you get it in the bottle you are supposed to give it a Coopers roll to mix things up.

Although I didn't have a Pale Ale, I did try some local cider and a Coopers Extra. One of the guys I was chatting with was drinking a boutique bottled beer at $8.50. Doubt if I would rise to that even if it was good.
