Sunday 7 November 2010: Fall back
We had to set the clocks back last night before going to bed. So hubby and I were up early this morning. It always takes me a couple of days to adjust to the time change.
It had rained last night. After we were up for a little while I saw the sun peaking through the clouds. I drove to downtown Coos Bay where I took this shot of these tug boats. View it larger.
Since the weather was so nice, I wanted to go kayaking on Empire Lakes. I never paddled that lake before. The lake is just a few minutes from home and is next to the college where I work. If you follow my journal, you know I blip the lake often. Such a gorgeous paddle. Very peaceful out there. However, after about an hour, we passed a fisherman that said we were going to get wet. There were some black clouds in the distance. We should have listened to him because it started raining. We paddled as fast as we could back to shore. We were a little wet, but happy we had the chance to be out there. Here's some shots I took while on the lake.
Later in the afternoon, we decided to go catch the sunset in Bandon. The rain had cleared and it was beautiful. I took several photos, but no time to process them tonight.
I skyped with Chocolatelover for a bit tonight, it was great to talk to her. Much better connection than the last time we tried.
