Heuchera shadow

Perfect day for airing blankets and freshly washed linen.

Looking for todays blip and noticed this shadow cast by the tiny wee flowers of heuchera on its leaf. The flowers are miniscule - less than 1/2 a small finger nail. It is really the leaf that gardeners love.

Had the first strawberries of the season but I ate them before awakening to the obvious......they were so big and red and juicy and full of flavour - all the way from Waimate. Summer is well on its way thankfully as apples are getting difficult to eat. I do like a crisp apple.
