Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

9 o'clock is obviously prime time for delivering wind turbine parts, although this long, second section got a bit stuck twice on it's journey down the 'new' roads.

Since I blipped, there has been quite a gap before they started reversing the lorry onto the turbine site, and they're now trying to fit one too many sardines into the tin! This must be the most awkward turbine site of the lot for them as there are the two existing buildings at the edge, which must make it more difficult to reverse and position.

You can see the escort vehicle behind the lorry, and the man walking behind remotely guiding the back set of wheels.

Edit: Well, they reversed the lorry in. But the next time we looked out of the window they'd come out again and moved the lorry three turbine sites further down the line. We don't think they know what they're doing. There are now more photos in my blog post here.
