Mycology

I noticed some fungi in the woods this morning and snapped this very quickly whilst cowering under my umbrella from the heavy rain that began pretty much as I stepped out of the house and kept going for hours.

I have no idea what type of fungi it is but would be interested to find out, if any mycologists happen across this.

My afternoon also involved getting wet (and cold) watching the boys play football. Fortunately their team won 3-0, which made it worthwhile, particularly as one of my boys scored and the other defended very solidly.
