Tuesday 16 November 2010: Like a Circle in a Spiral,a wheel within a wheel
Another day another windmill! Roadworks on the way to Mum and Dad's forced me a different way and suddenly in the skyline I spy Marsh Mill. Built in 1794 it was used to mill various grains of flour until the turn of the Century when the Mill went over to grinding meal for farm use until 1922. In 1988 plans were drawn up to fully restore the Mill and in 1990 the work was completed and the sails turned for the first time in 60 years.
Around it has sprung upan attractive shopping centre and it is a lovely place to spend an afternoon.
(This is my 3rd windmill blip...and I haven't featured them all yet!)
