Eastern State Penitentiary

Our camera club visited the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, PA today. Wow - what an amazing group of buildings. It opened in 1827 and closed in 1971. The most famous criminal that spent time here was Al Capone.

This cell is one of hundreds that are now empty and decaying.

The Eastern State Penitentiary is definite must vist location for any photographer in the area - a word of warning - the illumination is mostly only natural lighting so a tripod is recommended. Look in the furture for a blipfolio since there were so many shots - especially HDR that I didn't have time to process for posting tonight.
