Winter sunshine

One of several attempts to capture the drama of sunshine and cloud on the Pembrokeshire coast this afternoon.
With the sea behind me, I'm standing on the long distance path that follows the edge of the land for 80 miles around the county, and I'm facing Mynydd Dinas/Dinas Mountain with its rocky nipple on the western end. The hillside is rusty with dry bracken.
The sheep are grazing on the windy pastures that slope down to the cliffs. Between the two fields a damp gully is contained by a fence line on one side and a grassy bank on the other: I like the resulting contours.
The sun is lowering on the right and the sky is threatening rain which has not fallen yet. A cold night is sure to follow.
