Sunday 21 November 2010: Autumn clean
After a leisurely lie-in (leisurely in that I didn't get fed up of replying 'in a minute' to Bella's repeated 'can we get up now?' questioning for well over an hour), Bella and I set about tidying her room (well, I tidied, while she kept telling me 'that doesn't go there' and organised her extensive collection of hair bands / grips / slides).
When we'd finished, she sat down on her rediscovered floor and quietly read several books. I was reminded of that special feeling of optimism you get when you're a child and give your bedroom a major spring-clean.
It's a feeling I'd probably experience more if I applied similar effort to the rest of the house.
