Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

The village tannoy (think Hi-de-Hi preceded by the British Rail 4-bing intro.) announced this morning that there would be "transports excepcionals" today, and we immediately thought "crane". And there it is on the left of the photo, courtesy of McNally's Crane Hire from Ireland, the crane that will put the turbines up. But at least they're pumping some euros back home!
