The street of Life

In things we trust

In God things we trust

I created this today as a reaction of two things.

first, I watched a great film last night, the last train Home, an emotionally engaging and visually beautiful debut film from Chinese-Canadian director Lixin Fan, It is an epic spectacle that tells us much about China, a country discarding traditional ways as it hurtles towards modernity and global economic dominance.

Second, today in the US, americans and my family will be celebrating Thanksgiving day. Unfortunately this year americans might have to eat their turkey really quick and early, you must be wondering, why?

American retailers are racing to get their doors open early with doorbuster specials. More stores than ever before are opening on Thanksgiving Day, making it no longer a sacred day.

This is a clearly a proof of the unstoppable rise of North American consumer culture, We shop, buy, eat, indulge and consume more than any other country in the world.

Our U.S economy is based on people buying lot of shit they don't need and working a lot of hours in jobs most hate.

Let's stick with the simple and original idea of buying something when really needed!

Have a great night my ninjas!
