Thursday 25 November 2010: Spot The Reed Bunting
This didn't come out as well as I hoped .. Oh for that 500mm Sigma Lens I want!
Went down to Newport Wetlands this afternoon for a couple of hours.
It was freezing cold, but I donned my thermals and braved it.
The lighting for photography was excellent. Alas, it was one of those days where there was little to photograph.
I managed to get some of the Reed Buntings in the reed beds, lit by the setting sun. Great camouflage on these little birds.
But as you can see, it was slightly beyond the limit for my 300mm lens, even in that good light.
