Electronic Christmas Tree

Once again Telecom NZ has erected this structure covered in irregularly flashing lights of different colours as a representation of a Christmas Tree. At the base of the "tree" are numerous plastic bags, representing all the mail to Santa, and there are a number of telephone boxes each one connected directly to Santa's North Pole factory for the children to use and make their orders. Altogether, an example of gross commercialism masquerading as a service to families and children.
It has been erected in one corner of Western Park, through which one of my regular routes take me. I found myself unable to resist the appalling image.
