A Dog's Dinner

A Good Walk Spoiled....

I've never got the golf thing. I really can't see the point of it, but nevertheless it is hugely popular all round the world and, as you no doubt know, it was first played in Scotland.

I've just read that the first recorded game was played on the Bruntsfield Links bang in the centre of Edinburgh in 1496.

Scotland now has around 540 gold courses and interestingly enough unlike most other countries in the world it's entirely classless. Sure you get weathly clubs but for the main part it's cheap enough for anyone, including young adults to get a game regulalry.

I'm always amazed that when you travel around the world and golf is regarded as an elitist game.

Here endeth today's lesson.
