Tuesday 30 November 2010: More leaks

Amongst the US Embassy Cables divulged to Wikileaks, Between the Lines has found a number relating to a shadowy Edinburgh based 'photographer' known as Pensioner. The memos, sent over the course of many months are said to be extremely candid. In one, Pensioner describes Scotland as, 'a padded cell of a country, with shitty weather, largely populated by the witless and the rude and run by a useless cabal of second rate politicians.' In another he describes Scottish football as unwatchable dross. He calls Prince Charles an ass and a buffoon, Nicola Sturgeon the friend of criminal fraudsters, Ian Gray a swollen faced, pathetic and inarticulate oaf, Tavish Scott a rogue and upper class berk, and Annabelle Goldie some sort of freakshow. He saved his most outspoken comments for the Royal Forth Yacht Club who he insisted were in cahoots with Forth Ports PLC, The Pope, The Russian Mafia and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in wishing to see the end of the Corinthians. It is also believed he made several unflattering references to Hibernian Football Club.

It is believed that most of the material attributed to the Pensioner was collected in several bars around the West End.
