Saturday 4 December 2010: An icy morning

It snowed for most of yesterday morning but then it turned to rain. Later it froze and now there is a treacherous mixture of snow, slush and ice underfoot. But overnight the ice that formed on the roof of the conservatory formed hundreds (probably thousands) of different intricate and fascinating patterns. So look on the bright, sparkling side.
